Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities (SEND) Information

At Hormead, we strive to ensure that all children receive a high-quality and ambitious education.  We believe that it is vital that our pupils are equipped with the tools needed to become independent, inquisitive learners both in and out of the classroom. In order to help children in their learning or social development, we use a range of support resources, from whole school initiatives to 1:1 intervention. If, at any stage, you have a question or query about how your child is being supported in class, your class teacher is the first point of contact.

Some of the children in our school have a special educational need and/or disability (SEND) and require additional support in order to access our curriculum.  This provision is managed by Mrs Finch, our Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities Coordinators (SENDCo).  If you would like to contact Mrs Finch to discuss your child, please do not hesitate to contact her via the school office or via her email.
